With the new school year looming on the horizon, WUTV is preparing its return to the cable waves. Our first event will be a live broadcast of the work of our Pre-Orientation students showcasing their short films created during the program.
The Pre-orientation program begins in a little more than a week, and soon after WUTV will begin 24/7 broadcasting from our new studio on the 3rd floor of the Danforth University Center.
Check back here and we'll let you know when you can come check out our new digs and maybe you'll find a way to get involved with WUTV as we all discover the possibilities our new space will allow us to accomplish.
Also check back here and around campus about our new workshops we will begin offering on a variety of TV related topics.
We are also very excited for our first annual Sweding contest, ask us about details and how you can compete other students for a prize.
Thanks for watching and we can't wait to get back and return to the TV life.

WUTV Co-General Manager
WUTV will stop broadcasting on Sunday May 4th for the summer.
Over the past 9 months, we happily brought you student programming and films, along with an assortment of theatrically released moving pictures. Now, however, we need to pack up our things for our move to the new studio.
Enjoy this last week of WUTV, which will hold the last week of office hours as well as programming.
Good luck with finals.
SU approved the general budget. WUTV is content with the compromises that were reached in the sixteen hours of deliberation. WUTV would like to thank the Senate, the Treasury, and the SU Execs for their time and patience.
WUTV will not be checking out equipment after the 30th and computer packing will start on this date to prepare for the move to the new studio.
Anyone with cameras checked out must return their camera by the 30th or forfeit their deposits. (WUTV execs will make exceptions on a case-by-case basis.)
Yesterday, SU Treasury approved a general budget for the 2008-2009 school year that contained
the lowest funding level for WUTV since 2002 (counting appeals). The proposed funding, which is
less than 45% of WUTV’s budget just three years ago, is not sufficient for WUTV to maintain the resources necessary to ensure that the station will continue to operate in the future.
Given the past support WUTV has received from SU, the tremendous support that the University has shown by creating a new studio for WUTV in the University Center, and the tremendous value that a vibrant student-run television station brings to campus, we are concerned about sustaining the station and growing our presence on campus in the future.
In order to complete federally mandated inspections, this Friday’s 1pm to 2pm office hours have been canceled. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
